Make this yours. Duplicate the page into your own Notion workspace, then use the tracker below to mark each book as To read, Reading or Read.

This is not a second version of the article. The article explains why each book matters; this page is the practical companion for deciding what to pick up next and keeping track of your progress.

The tracker contains the exact ten books featured in the Website post, with the same titles and authors. Nothing has been added, removed or substituted.

You need a method you can use tomorrow

Start with the books that help you plan and run research in imperfect conditions. Use the tracker rather than trying to read everything in sequence.

Your interviews feel too comfortable

Move towards the titles on interviewing, question quality and interpretation. They are most useful when sessions are producing plenty of conversation but not enough insight.

What people say is not matching what they do

Use the behavioural titles to sharpen how much weight you give to self-report and to improve the evidence you collect alongside it.

The research is good but nobody acts on it

Pick the books concerned with communicating findings and supporting claims. The problem may be less about discovery and more about credibility or how the evidence travels.

A simple way to use the list

Choose one live weakness in your current research practice. Pick the book that speaks most directly to it, mark it as Reading, and when you finish, write down one change you will test on a real study. Then move on only when another problem gives you a reason to.

A completed reading list is not the goal. A stronger research practice is.
